On April 7, 2023, Internews Kosova held a training session with students of “Haxhi Zeka” high school in the municipality of Istog.

The training was held as part of the “KALLXO.com – The Anti-corruption platform /Crowdsourcing Citizen Engagement to Report and Fight Corruption” project funded by UNDP, and was aimed at students of Kosovo’s state-run high schools that are interested in undergoing training in media production, media literacy, ethics, tackling fake news, investigative journalism and producing videos.

A total of 38 students from the high school “Haxhi Zeka” participated in the training, out of which 23 were women.

At the end of the training session, youngsters pitched their journalistic ideas, which the Internews Kosova team collected and analysed thoroughly in discussion with the students. The students will have the opportunity to publish articles or other materials that will be published on the online platform Kallxo Youth. The production of all of these articles will be overseen by a team of editors.

In the upcoming months, Internews Kosova will hold other training sessions at the Social Studies Department of high schools from across Kosovo.
