Internews Kosova joins the Anti-Disinformation Network for the Balkans
On April 2, Internews Kosova joined the Anti-Disinformation Network for the Balkans (ADN – Balkans) alongside nine organizations from five countries in the region. The network, announced on International Fact-Checking day, is the most recent anti-disinformation network in the Balkans aiming to debunk fake-news.
The purpose of the network is to advocate for cross-border cooperation between civil society organizations, media outlets, and educational institutions, among many other relevant stakeholders who share the common interest of battling disinformation.
ADN Balkans has been co-founded by member organizations that function based on the highest standards of fact-checking and professional journalism, and promote media literacy and critical thinking.
Since 2017, Internews Kosova’s online anti-corruption platform – KALLXO.com – has been part of the Poynter Institute’s International Fact-Checking Network. As well as being a member of the “fact-checkers” community, Internews Kosova is also signatory of the Institute’s ethical principles, which should be applied when fact-checking.
Now, after three years of being a member of the International Fact-Checking Network, Internews Kosova’s KALLXO.com is also a member of a new beneficial regional network to debunk fake-news.
